friday

so two nights ago we had to get ready for the chickens to get shipped , it was my first time and went pretty smooth , well for the most part . the kids were in bed so we locked the doors and headed off to the barn , after we were done the bottom floor , i wanted to check on the kids just to make sure they were still tucked in tight , so it was dark and rainy and i'm about half way to the house when i hear coyotes off into the neighbors field and they sound like they're getting closer , so i start running ( with gum boots on !! not that easy) and i'm almost to the house when i realize the house is locked and i don't have the keys ! so i pick up the pace as in my mind they sounded like they were getting closer and i was thinking " I SMELL LIKE CHICKEN THEY'RE GOING TO EAT ME !!!!" so i ran as fast as i could to the barn ...... ahhhh they didn't get me and i was safe :)

and the next morning i woke up to jakob peeing beside my bed announcing that he wanted to be outside peeing on the grass ..... is anybody elses life this weird ???? if so please let me know :)

That's pretty funny. My life isn't quite like that, no chickens or anything. But I guess we all have our weird things to deal with.

I don't think my life is htat crazy or funny these days, but I do remember when the boys were younger. Derek turned left into Shawn's room instead of the bathroom one night when he was about 3 years old. Shawn was sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Thank goodness Derek's aim wasn't the best!! Keep enjoying life - chickens, coyotes, children and all.
